Multiple national studies show that four- and five-year olds who receive the right combination of social and academic skills enter school ready to learn, perform better academically, and graduate high school and enter college at higher rates.
Passage of Senate Bill 0572 and House Bill 0925 would establish a competitive grant program dubbed Race to the Tots, a major step toward providing quality early childhood education for Baltimore families.
Members of the Senate Budget and Taxation Committee and the House of Delegates Ways and Means Committee are scheduled to hold a hearing on the bills -- BCF will be there testifying, and we need YOU to do your part, too.
