Wednesday: SMBA Law Day USA 2015, Magna Carta: Symbol of Freedom Under Law
The SMBA Law Day Lunch Celebration will be held Wednesday May 6, 11:30-1:00 at Hickory Hills Country Club. The Law Day address will be delivered by the Honorable Mary Russell, Chief Justice of the Missouri Supreme Court. Following the address will be the presentation of the Equal Access to Justice Award, the Liberty Bell Award and the Distinguished Attorney Award.

Taking the Court to the Streets

The Springfield Metropolitan Bar Foundation joins community partners in hosting a very special program presented by Steve Binder a San Diego County Deputy Public Defender. Binder is a co founder of the first homeless court program. He is a pioneer in the development of treatment courts and a model of how attorneys can be the catalyst behind positive social change. There is no charge for the program, which is eligible for 1 MCLE. However you must register and sign in for credit.
Parking is available in Lot 6 next to Central High School on Benton Ave. Lay Hall is one block north of Central Street on Benton. Students will be at the parking lot to assist with directions. (Event flyer)
