Happy Birthday, Magna Carta: Writers Rock!
Today at 4:00 the SMBA will celebrate the 800th anniversary of the great charter and the winners of this year's Law Day Essay Contest in a ceremony/ party at the Library Center.
Twelve local middle school students will be recognized for their interpretation of the theme Magna Carta: Symbol of Freedom Under Law.

Last week the SMBA announced the winners of our poster contest to a standing room only crowd of at the Library Center. Fifteen students and their families and teachers showed up to receive their awards and help us celebrate. An exhibit of the 2015 SMBA Law Day Posters is on display now through April 16 at the Library Center. Go see it. It will make you happy.

Tonight: SMBA Dash and Dine (Run-Need-Mead)
In preparation for this year's Magna Carta themed Law Day 5K, SMBA Health and Wellness Chair Mary Clark has organized a mini training program. Anyone interested in a lap or two around the park followed by dinner at Bambinos should meet at the Phelps Grove Park Pavillion at 5:30. We hope to see you there!

SMBA Helps Out With Healthcare Decisions (NHDD)
Dedicated members of the SMBA Probate and Trust Committee are once again observing National Healthcare Decisions Day NHDD by assisting members of the public in understanding and completing healthcare advance directives. Volunteers will be answering questions Tuesday April 14 on KY-3 Call A Lawyer during the 5 and 6 p.m. news, and lawyers will be available Thursday, April 16 from 10a.m. to 6p.m. at the following locations: the Brentwood Library at 2214 S.
