Gifts from the Bench and Flu Shots
The December Gifts from the Bench lunch is one of our most popular programs, and this year we are pleased to have Missouri Supreme Court Judge Paul Wilson as our primary speaker. Also, in keeping with tradition, we offer the gift of health to our members, via flu shots. Dr. John Bentley will be available after the meeting if you would like to be vaccinated. The SMBA will make a donation to Jordan Valley Community Health Center for this service, and additional donations are welcomed by Dr. Bentley if you are so inclined. Hosmer Takes the Bench
SMBA member Andy Hosmer will be sworn into office as Associate Circuit Judge, Division 23 on January 1, 2015. A ceremonial robing, hosted by the 31st Circuit Court En Banc and the Springfield Metropolitan Bar will be conducted Friday, January 9, 2015, 3:00 p.m., in the Ceremonial Courtroom (Division Four), Greene County Judicial Facility, 1010 Boonville. SMBA members are welcome and encouraged to attend.
