Today: Compassion Fatigue and Burnout, Spotting the Signs, Stopping the Cycle, Recovering Balance, 2MCLE Ethics/GAL
July 22, 2013, 3:00-5:00, SMBA office
This presentation will define and explain one of the most commonly undetected problems experienced by lawyers of all practice areas. Often, it is the root cause of other symptoms or manifestations that can result in professional misconduct. Taught by an Army chaplain and experienced attorney who have both suffered from compassion fatigue in their respective professions, this fun but introspective CLE will include a forum to discuss not just the struggles involved, but tactics and methods to prevent or overcome this invisible disease of the legal profession.
