Greene County Launches eFiling to Increase Convenience and Efficiency for Lawyers and Clients

As of today, April 1, 2013, new cases and all pleadings must be filed electronically in Greene County. "We are pleased with the shift to electronic filing," Thomas E. Mountjoy, Presiding Judge said. "In making the change, we can offer attorneys and their clients extended hours of access to cases, providing greater flexibility; reduce costs for printing, copying and mailing; and better serve attorneys and the citizens of our jurisdiction who are their clients."

Rush Investiture Friday

The United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri requests the pleasure of your company at the Investiture Ceremony of David P. Rush to the Court, Friday, April 5, 2013, 2:00, Missouri State University, Plaster Student Union Theatre. Parking is available in lots 22 and 24 (south of Grand and the football stadium), and in lot 38 (Bear Park South) and lot 43 (Bear Park North). Shuttles continuously run from lots 38 and 43 for those who do not wish to walk. Attendees who park in these lots should take the GREEN shuttle, to the Student Union.


Senate Judiciary Chair Requests Public Comment on Changes to Criminal Code

Missouri Senator Bob Dixon has requested input from the bar and the public on matters which are under consideration by the Senate Judiciary Committee, which he chairs. The updated website includes information and links to provide comment on the proposed Criminal Code revisions. HB 210 is set for a vote on April 3. SB 253 is in the hearing process.
