The beginning of Lent is just a couple of days away. Here is what's planned for this Season of Renewal.

Ash Wednesday: February 13
| 
Collection for Operation Rice Bowl will be taken
8:30 a.m. - Eucharist & Distribution of Ashes
11:00 a.m. - Prayer Service & Distribution of Ashes
(children from parish school will participate, open to all)
3:30 p.m. - Prayer Service & Distribution of Ashes
(families with children in faith formation [CCD] are encouraged to participate)
7:00 p.m. - Prayer Service & Distribution of Ashes
led by teens, open to ALL
All of these services will be held in the church.
(Rice Bowls and Lenten reflection material are available in the vestibule)

Soup Suppers & Lenten Prayer
|  On Thursdays, February 21 & 28, and Friday, March 8, you are invited to a simple meal of soup and bread in the parish hall. The meals will be prepared by various parish organizations. Following each meal there will be a different form of Lenten prayer in the Church, including Taize Prayer and a Prayer of Lamentation to seek an end to violence in our country and in our world. On March 8 the prayer will be the Stations of the Cross including an audio-visual of the sacred sites in the Holy Land recently visited by parishioners. Come for the entire evening or part of it. |

Pasta Feed: Winter Nights Fundraiser
|
Join us in the parish hall for a spaghetti dinner on Saturday, Feb. 23, immediately following the 5:00 pm Mass. Enjoy a delicious meal prepared by Chef Monica Chappell using one of her family recipes. Entertainment will be provided by Dominant 7, the youth jazz band that played at last year's carnival. This event benefits the Winter Nights program. Tickets are $15 for adults, $7 for children ages 5-12, children
under 4 are free. This is always a sell-out event. To reserve your spot, please send a check to the parish office, attention Christoph, with a note indicating how many adults and children.

It's Pancake Breakfast Time
| 
Sunday, February 24, the Knights of Columbus will again be serving their traditional Pancake Breakfast, in the Hall, after the 8 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Masses. Everyone is invited. Adults-$4, children-$2, proceeds go to St. Perpetua School, Parish and other local charities.

All children in 2nd grade preparing to receive First Eucharist in May are invited to attend Mass on February 24 at 9:30 a.m. to ask for a prayer partner from the St. Perpetua community

Annual Valentine Luncheon in the Parish Hall
Thursday, February 14: 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
This is our traditional luncheon for ALL seniors but especially
honoring those in nursing homes and long-term care facilities.
SAGE members prepare a delicious lunch, St. Perpetua school
children entertain and Fr. John leads us in a sing-along. For reservations and information call Aggie Malanca, 283-4477
To ENHANCE YOUR LENTEN REFLECTION join Maryellen Judson, Fr. John and parishioners who recently toured the Holy Land and experience the transforming power of walking in the footsteps of Jesus on Monday, March 11, at 9 am in the Parish Hall following morning Mass in the Church. A continental breakfast will be served.
