**Rehearsal scheduled for May 18 is cancelled **

Kit Challenge

This year's Annual Conference invites each district to participate in giving by donating items to help those with immediate needs. 

 

This year's collection will benefit the Midwest Mission Distribution Center in their efforts to assemble "layette" kits which are provided to parents to welcome a new child into this world. This witness testifies to the sacred worth of every child.   

 

The Mission Truck will be in place at 1pm on Sunday, June 8 to begin taking donations.

Used Book Sale

Monday and Tuesday of Annual Conference you can buy books from your colleagues and lighten the shelves of your own library.

The INM conference committee will be hosting a book sale!

All proceeds of the sale will go to Imagine No Malaria.

 

The sale will be in "Preservation A", and is in the Bourbon Street area of Pheasant Run Resort.

 

Books can be dropped off on Sunday of annual conference starting at noon. For more information click here.

Last day to register is May 23. After this date you will:

  • Be able to register on-site in the Mega Center Lobby on June 8
  • NOT be able to sign up for sponsored meals

  • The mail-in registration form will be available for download from  www.umcnic.org/AC2014 or contact your District Administrator to make arrangements to receive it.

Pre-Annual Conference Webinar Briefings   

Annual Conference members are invited to join one of three pre-Conference briefings via Go To Meeting to hear details about the pilot health insurance proposal, changes to the standing rules and modifications to the apportionment formula. There will be time for Q & A.

This year will be our second Bishop's Appeal offering at Annual Conference and all gifts will go to Imagine No Malaria. This offering allows us to pool our resources from the pew to the annual conference floor by inviting local churches, ministry groups, and individuals to contribute.

 

This is not an attendee-only offering that's usually taken during annual conference worship, but rather a chance for a whole congregation to contribute to the heartbeat of the connection.
