Important Notice for Mentors - Feb. 19 Training
All clergy currently serving as candidacy mentors or who wish to serve must attend a quadrennial training in order to officially be registered as candidacy mentors.
Please RSVP to your District Office or Calvin Culpepper, BOM coordinator, by Monday, Feb. 10 along with dietary restrictions if you plan to attend.
This year's training will be at: Our Saviour's United Methodist Church, 701 E. Schaumburg Rd., Schaumburg on Wed. Feb. 19 from 10am -2:45pm (lunch included).
Meg Lasiat, from GBHEM, will facilitate the training.

 2014 Annual Conference - Celebrating 175 Years!
Your Annual Conference committee has been working diligently to plan the 175th session of the Northern Illinois Conference scheduled for June 8 through 10, 2014 at Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles. We will be looking back at who have been our neighbors in order to reach out to our neighbors today. With the Conference being two and a half days long and the election of delegates to General and Jurisdictional Conferences, the committee is working to make sure we are able to make the best use of time and at the same time be able to celebrate the ministries that are producing fruit and changing lives. Inaugural Celebration for new Garrett President - Feb 28 & Mar 1

The inaugural celebration of Lallene J. Rector as president of Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary will take place February 28 and March 1, with the inaugural ceremony set for Saturday, March 1.
A variety of events, including a panel discussion, concert and a worship service, will be held during the two day period.

 United Voices for Children seeks nominees for annual awards
Each year the Board of Directors of United Voices for Children selects individuals and a group or organization to receive the Bishop Jesse R. DeWitt Child Advocacy Award and the Katherine B. Greene Child Worker Award.
These awards honor extraordinary volunteer service or advocacy efforts on behalf of children, youth and/or families throughout the Northern Illinois Conference.
