While the remaining 2013 contributions are still coming in,  

I am happy to report that an additional 44 churches have contributed 100% apportionments bringing the total to 188 (compared to 222 in 2013).    

 

Year-to-date Apportionment giving has surpassed $6.2 Million.

Youth Gather to Save Lives!  
  
February 23 is a big day in Northern Illinois for youth and Imagine No Malaria.
TWO events are planned to support Imagine No Malaria. Mark your calendars now! 

 

1) Imagine No Malaria Game Day  

Kingswood UMC - 401 W. Dundee Rd., Buffalo Grove

"Imagine No Malaria" - "Nothing But Nets" - whatever you call it - it involves saving lives! Let's get together to learn about these campaigns and how we can all help end malaria. 

 

This is a joint event between many congregations and is a great way to meet other youth in the Northern and Northwest Suburbs, but all are welcome!  

 

Cost is $5 for lunch, and $10 recommended donation to INM

 Join the Chicago Northwestern District youth for dodgeball, crafts, challenge games and a chance to save lives. All are welcome! (youth are asked to raise funds and to bring the donation to the event on Feb 23)

Human Trafficking Vigil

The Northern Illinois Conference United Methodist Women will again congregate in Daley Plaza on Friday, January 31 at noon to educate others about the close connection between sporting events and human trafficking. 
 
United Methodists for Social Action will gather with us. Others who can, please join us as well at the Daley Center, 50 W Washington Street in Chicago to help us raise awareness.
