Communicator's
Corner:

Beware:
of callers or emails from people from abroad asking for money for an "emergency" even if they use the Bishop's name or someone from our Conference. These are most likely scams.

2013 Bud Billiken Parade

Bud Billiken Parade
50 people from the Chicago Northwestern and Southern Districts marched in the 84th Annual Bud Billiken Parade on Saturday, Aug. 10.

Bishop Sally Dyck and members of the Urban Strategy team organized the parade participation to show that United Methodists in the city are "putting legs on our prayers".

"We want to let the community know that as United Methodists we are praying for our schools, students, teachers and administrators this coming year," said Bishop Dyck.

The St. Mark UMC youth martial arts team and the youth juggling troupe from Edison Park UMC joined in marching with the group.
