Bishop Sally Dyck announces the following clergy appointments for the Northern Illinois Conference of The United Methodist Church, effective July 1, 2013 (unless otherwise noted):

During the appointment making season the NIC Cabinet meets frequently. Due to the flow of appointment work it will not always be possible to post clear open essays each week. The weekly announcement of an appointment signals a clear open. If you wish to know more about an open appointment or offer yourself for consideration, you may contact the receiving District Superintendent by email, copying your current District Superintendent, with an indication of your interest.


 
  

 

Avani-Cossett Christian (Elder) to Kaneville (Aurora District) from Associate Pastor at Dixon: First (DeKalb District).  Avani follows Mark Harkness as he is appointed to Walnut.

 

George David (Retired Elder) to Ingleside ½ time (Elgin District) from Ringwood (Elgin District).  George will follow Sharon Bullmer as Sharon retires.

 

Claude King (Elder) to Olympia Fields (Chicago Southern District) from Chicago: First, Temple (Chicago Southern District).  Claude follows Leona Tichenor who will serve Joliet: Ingalls Park/Trinity.

 

Howard "Doc" Newcomb (Elder) to Addison (Elgin District) from Mt. Morris: Disciples (DeKalb District).  Doc will follow Brian Smith as Brian moves to Wilmette: Trinity.

 

Noah Panlilio (Elder) to Malta/Northwest Malta (DeKalb District) from Chicago: Elston Avenue (Chicago: Northwestern District).  Noah will follow Judy Giese who is appointed to Wyanet and Red Oak.
