Bishop Sally Dyck announces the following clergy appointments for the Northern Illinois Conference of The United Methodist Church, effective July 1, 2013 (unless otherwise noted):

 CLEAR OPENS 

 

   During the appointment making season the NIC Cabinet meets frequently. Due to the flow of appointment work it will not always be possible to post clear open essays each week. The weekly announcement of an appointment signals a clear open. If you wish to know more about an open appointment or offer yourself for consideration, you may contact the receiving District Superintendent by email, copying your current District Superintendent, with an indication of your interest.
  

P. Devon Brown (Full Elder) to Chicago: St. Mark, Senior Pastor (Chicago: Southern District) from Chicago: Faith (Chicago: Southern District). Devon follows Jon McCoy as he is appointed to Hinsdale.

 

Eun-Hae Chung (Full Elder) to Retirement from Palos Heights (Aurora District).  Eun-Hae became a probationary member in 1996 and a full member of the Northern Illinois Conference in 1998.  He served Schaumburg: Salem Korean, Glenbrook Korean, Naperville: DuPage Korean and Palos Heights.

 

Scott Field (Full Elder) to Crystal Lake, Senior Pastor (Elgin District) from Naperville: Wheatland Salem (Aurora District).  Scott will follow Steven Bullmer who is moving to retired status.

 

Young-Mee Park (Full Elder) to DeKalb District Superintendent from Oak Park: First (Chicago: Northwestern District)  Young-Mee follows Richard Wisdom as he is appointed Aurora District Superintendent.

 

Lisa Kruse-Safford (Full Elder) to Rockford District Superintendent from Elgin: Cornerstone, Senior Pastor (Elgin District).  Lisa follows Ouk-Yean Kim Jueng as she is appointed to Arlington Heights: First, Senior Pastor.
