On February 16th, residents from Arvin and Shafter joined efforts to build a shared greenhouse to benefit their community gardens. Arvin's community garden opened in September, providing the community with access to healthy food and economic opportunities. Shafter's four-acre garden will break-ground soon, with forty plots available for local residents to adopt. Another garden in Greenfield is underway and a fourth in Wasco is planned. The gardens are part of our Green and Just Economic Development campaign. Check out these photos to see the evolution of the Arvin garden.
