Street Closures for Fulton Fest and Chicago Fire
Please be advised: Fulton Street will be closed between Damen and Hoyne on Friday August 22nd for ICNC's annual Fulton Fest event. The closure will be in effect from 10:00am to 10:00pm, and we respectfully ask that parked cars be removed from the block by 8:00am.
In addition, the producers of Chicago Fire have sought a street closure permit for the following day, Saturday August 23rd, for a film shoot. This closure may affect four to five blocks of Fulton Street between Ashland and Leavitt at different times throughout the day. Illinois DCEO Office of Trade & Investment Announces 2014-2015 Foreign Trade Mission Schedule
Qualified Illinois small business exporters will have the opportunity to participate in 25 different foreign trade missions through the Illinois DCEO Office of Trade & Investment over the next year. The 2014-2015 trade mission line-up includes important venues for Chicago small businesses such as the Canadian Restaurant & Foodservices Association show in Toronto and ExpoPack Mexico in Mexico City. Participating companies still have the option to have up to 75% of travel costs covered through the ISTEP program. New Technology Available for Contract Work in the Fulton-Carroll Center
FCC tenant SOLID Development Corp recently acquired a MakerBot Replicator 3D printer, now available for product conceptualization and prototyping. The machine can print in a variety of plastic grades to exact specifications. Email Adam at SOLID for information on utilizing the Replicator.
New tenant DropCatch has brought a computerized laser engraver to their unit in the Fulton-Carroll Center. This machine can cut text and intricate designs into wood, soft metals, tough plastics, and more, and is large enough to handle several jobs at once.
