PENTECOST SUNDAY
|
This Sunday, during worship, we will celebrate Pentecost (meaning "fifty days") which ends the Easter Season. Fifty days after Easter, God sent the gift of His Holy Spirit to empower the new community of Jesus' disciples, the Church. Don't forget to wear RED, the liturgical color of Pentecost. Red represents the fiery tongues of fire that symbolize the Spirit's impassioned presence among us.
At the conclusion of the service, we will gather on the front porch to celebrate the life-giving breath of God by joyfully blowing bubbles to His glory.

SPECIAL OFFERING
|
The PC(USA) Pentecost Offering, collected this Sunday, provides a way to meet the needs of young people. 40% will support local children at risk through Presbyterian Children's Homes & Services; 60% will provide leadership development opportunities for Presbyterian youth & young adults, plus support children at risk around the world. Please support this special offering as we share the good news of Jesus Christ, since we have received the gift of His own Holy Spirit. Thank you.
