This Sunday, we welcome Linda Campbell to the staff of BTPC as The Director of Christian Formation & Outreach Ministries. We are grateful to God that Linda brings much enthusiasm and experience to this sacred work. She has a professional background in award-winning sales and marketing and in interior design, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of her alma mater, William Woods University, Fulton, Missouri, from which she earned a B.S. in Business Administration. Actively involved in many aspects of the Presbyterian Church throughout her life, she has served at BTPC as elder, deacon, member or chair of every committee, teacher, worship leader, choir member, and Interim Director of Children & Youth Ministries, among others, during her 27 years as a member. The past four years, Linda served as the well-loved and effective Director of Christian Education at First Presbyterian Church, Mesquite. She currently serves on the Grace Presbytery Committee on Preparation for Ministry as well as being active in various Presbytery Christian Educators' groups and ministries, including Crossroads, the Presbytery college ministry.
Linda brings strong, demonstrable gifts in leadership-, spiritual-, curriculum-, and program-development for all ages, oral and written communication, congregational fellowship, and fundraising, in addition to her enthusiastic abilities to develop multicultural outreach programs. Linda will 'hit the ground running' to begin to prepare for a variety of summer and fall ministries, so expect a call or visit from her soon - and say "Yes!" when she asks for help. For, this church does not belong to us; rather, as the body of Christ, it is simply entrusted to our faithful care, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, we are ALL called to participate in God's work that is underway at BTPC. We cannot be faithful in who or what we are called to be and do, both individually and communally, without YOU!
We also are thrilled to welcome back Linda's husband, Jim. Linda and Jim raised their children, Jamie and Buddy, at BTPC, and now enjoy their many grandchildren.
Join us for a reception to welcome Linda and Jim in the narthex after the worship service.
