SPUDS, SALADS AND SMILES
SPUDS, SALADS & SMILES
Most of you know that "Amazing Grace" was written by a slave trader.  Do you know that "Christ the Lord is Risen" was written by Charles Wesley, whose compositions, greatly exceeds any other hymn-writer in the English language. Join us on March 12, 11:30 a.m. for a fun and informative hour of singing some favorites.

We will also enjoy displays of some collections as well as a display of work by our own "Creative Arts Center"

BTPC WELCOMES BACK
THE ASANTE CHILDREN'S CHOIR

Asante Children's Choir Concert

March 22, 6:00 p.m.

The Asante Children's Choir is made up of vibrant young boys and girls, ages 7-15 years old, from East Africa. The children were selected for the choir based on their musical talent and desperate need. Their personal stories are brilliantly told through cultural music, costumes and dancing in a beautiful way of worshiping and praising God. The children's radiant faces exclaim "Asante" or "Thank You" on behalf of all the children back home who are being helped with free education and medical care through our support.

CREATIVE ARTS CORNER

One thing you can do to help to avoid memory loss and keep your brain functioning well is to take up a new hobby. The hobby that you choose should have the potential for years or even a lifetime of learning as you improve your skills. Drawing, painting, knitting and crocheting are all hobbies that would be fun to learn and the perfect time to improve on your new hobby would be Fridays from 10:00am - noon in Prichard Hall. The members of Creative Arts Corner meet each week for fellowship while enjoying their crafts. Want to learn to crochet? Joan Lathen would be happy to teach you and with friendly critiquing, members help one another develop their painting skills. Please join us. For more information contact Joan Lathen at joan@briargrove.net

BTPC PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN
Pres Women
This year the Presbyterian Circle groups are using "She Did What She Could" by Elisa Morgan as our study guide.  This is a wonderful discussion book directed around the lives of women in the Bible as well as opportunities to serve in our everyday life.

The groups meet on the third Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. or the third Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. each month. Both groups meet in Bentwood House and all women are invited to join one of these bible studies.
