Prayer Works When Nothing Else Can

Once I made a trip to the Bahamas without my passport. When I got ready to come home, I learned I could not get through customs without it.

So, when the day to leave came, we went to the airport, and I told my son to watch as he was about to see a demonstration of how Affirmative Prayer works. While I was feeling some fear, I remained calm.

I sat down on a bench in the customers area and sent my son and husband ahead of me while I began to pray. I affirmed that I was a legal citizen of the U.S. and that it was safe for me to return as God knew I was not planning anything illegal.

As I opened my eyes from the prayer, the custom officer asked, "Are you with them?" I said, "yes".

He said "Go ahead", and he waved me through his station without asking to see my passport".

Moving from FEAR to FAITH!

"How To Move From Fear to Faith"

1. Confess your fears to a trusted friend or prayer counselor.

2. Face fears by analyzing their source and what they're really about. Then take action.

3. Realize you would not be here were it not for a Power greater than you are. Have confidence in this Power. Say to this Divine Presence: "" I now lay down all my fears, doubts and anxieties.

4. Resurrect the confidence in life which you had in your youth. Say to yourself "At the very center of my being there is complete confidence, complete faith and there is

the protection of Divine Love, the guidance of Divine Wisdom and the strength of Divine Power.

Fear brings confusion and faith brings confidence. Have faith in the ability to have faith in yourself and your future.

Sunday October 26th 10:30 a.m. Join us in the beautiful outdoor garden of the GABLES, corner of Montgomery and Grand. "Holy Holy Halloween" is our theme. Come as you are or wear a costume. The Garden Stage is next to the pool. There is only street parking, so come early. There will be no meditation this Sunday only. We move our service to accommodate the YOGA conference that meets at the Women's Club.

Many Communities in California are NOW out of WATER.

Our Lake is the ONLY source of water as many Ojai wells

are running out & some are completely DRY.

PLEASE DO YOUR PART TO CONSERVE WATER!

The disturbing news is that many other parts of the country may ALSO be out of water soon as rain water is not sufficient to replace the underground aquifers that now supply much of their clean water.

This includes many states which have NEVER had a water shortage.

PLEASE CONSERVE.

WHENEVER YOU TURN ON WATER, REDUCE THE STREAM TO A TRICKLE BECAUSE EVERY DROP OF WATER IS AS PRECIOUS AS GOLD!!!

This event will feature educators, innovators & government officials.

Light Heart Youth Program

Ages 4 - 11

Join Rev. Geri Woodson each Sunday for the Light Heart Youth Program. Young people will enjoy multi-cultural stories, prayers, meditations, and crafts. They will learn that LOVE is the guiding force in their lives. All youngsters ages 4-11 years of age are welcome from 10:30-11:30 a.m.

CSLOjai contributes one tenth of all income every month to Schools in Tanzania, Africa, Centers for Spiritual Living and local non-profits.
