October Theme: Out of the Comfort Zone

Moving from FEAR to FAITH!

Someone has said that the entire world is suffering from one big fear...
the fear that God will not answer our prayers. The fear of lack is nothing more than the belief that God does not, supply us with what we need.  The fear of loss of health, friends, property ---all arise from belief that God is not all that we claim: Omniscience, Omnipotence, and
Omnipresence. But fear is nothing more than the negative use of faith
...faith misplaced; a belief in two powers instead of ONE.
              Ernest Holmes "Science of Mind"

Prayer Works When Nothing Else Can....

Having faith in trying times is often a challenge.
When my son was shooting a TV series in Australia recently, I often woke up in the night feeling he was in danger. I immediately began to pray affirming his safety and wellbeing. Later he told me that indeed he often faced danger in the bush. Once he was stranded on a rock in a rushing river when it began to hail.  All he could do was stand still and wait without moving so he would not slip into the water.

Prayer is a powerful tool when there seems we can do little else.  And how good to know that if prayer ever worked it always works.

Learning to be a Science of Mind Practitioner is the greatest joy of my life. I know I can affect situations thousands of miles away anytime. I have seen forest fires put out; tumors pronounced benign;
wars stopped. This teaching is only 100 years old, and we are still on the cutting edge of discovering how powerful it can be.

WATER CONSERVATION NEWS

When the well runs dry, we shall know the value of water
- Benjamin Franklin

Many Communities in California are NOW out of WATER.
Our Lake is the ONLY source of water as many Ojai wells
are running out & some are completely DRY.
PLEASE DO YOUR PART TO CONSERVE WATER!

The disturbing news is that many other parts of the country may ALSO be out of water soon as rain water is not sufficient to replace the underground aquifers that now supply much of their clean water.

This includes many states which have NEVER had a water shortage.

PLEASE CONSERVE.

WHENEVER YOU TURN ON WATER, REDUCE THE STREAM TO A TRICKLE BECAUSE EVERY DROP OF WATER IS AS PRECIOUS AS GOLD!!!

1. Sprinkler use limited to two days a week from 6:00pm - 9:00 am.

2. Keep irrigation on landscape not on sidewalks or streets.

3. Sweep, don't wash sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas.

4. Hose nozzle shut-offs are required at all times when cleaning vehicles or hand watering landscape areas.

5.  Limit number of times you flush the toilet.

6.  Use a trickle of water to rinse /wash dishes and brush teeth.

Please adjust irrigation timer and sprinkler heads to meet the mandatory restrictions.
