GOURMETS FOR GOD - a FUN (D) Raiser
Do you enjoy dinner with friends, picnics and parties too??? Then you will LOVE being a Gourmet for God. Not only do you get to enjoy a wonderful meal or party, you connect with old and new friends.
Plan an event with a theme, menu, say how many guests you want; then donate the food and location for which our Center will give you a tax credit.
For example: Potential parties include a Cowboy Picnic, A Pizza Party, A Greek Feast, A Vegetarian Feast, A Picnic in a Grecian Temple, A Mexican Fiesta. What will YOU create????
Guests bid on the opportunity to attend your event. If you do not have a location or can't cook, you can team up with someone who does. If you don't want to plan or host an event, you can attend as many parties as you like over a 90-day period.
YOUTH & WORKSHOP Room RECEIVES FACELIFT
On Sun. March 16th the Women's Club needs help tearing out the old carpet in our Youth & Workshop Room. Can you help for a couple of hours 1- 4 p.m? Many hands make the work light. Most Women's Club members are in their 80's. So guys, will you lend them a hand?
SAVE WATER - PRAY FOR RAIN
New Community Service Project **
The Ojai Valley uses 125 million of gallons of water DAILY. We can all conserve water while praying for rain.
PRIORITY TIPS: USE LESS WATER
We have experienced only 12% of normal snowpack in California so far this year.
How Much WATER Can YOU Save ???
- When washing fruits & veggies, put bowl under faucet and don't let water continue to run.
- Don't use water to thaw food. Defrost in refrigerator.
- Use dishwasher & washing machine only when full.
Ojai has no outside water source as many other Southern California communities do. Underground wells and Lake Casitas are all we have. Water levels are dangerously low, and many wells are dry. PLEASE conserve water.
GRATITUDE PRAYER FOR RAIN
There is an Infinite Presence, a GREAT Universal Intelligence,
It is within me, within all people and within all of nature.
I speak my word giving thanks for the rain we have now received in mind. I give thanks for answered PRAYER! This rain is a gift in a time of need. I delight in this answered prayer.
I give thanks for the farmers who use water wisely and for everyone who conserves it diligently.
I release these words unto the universal flow knowing the Divine Plan of FREEDOM is always in operation. And so it is A-men.

On Sun. Jan. 26th, we voted unanimously to affiliate with the Centers for Spiritual Living worldwide and be called Center for Spiritual Living, Ojai.
