Being the Spiritual Director of the Symphony of Life has been quite a joy to me over the past 4+ years. I was reflecting with happiness on all the great events we've had and all the adventures we experienced along the way......like the time we had that enormous "garage sale," which wound up filling the entire American Legion Hall, including the backyard and front yard as well. We had a section for Christmas decorations, gardening equipment, children's toys and furniture too! It was the "garage sale" to end all garage sales. Then there was the time we decided to build a Fourth of July float and enter the Ojai Fourth of July Parade. I dressed in my cheerleading outfit and bounced down the street in front of our float, getting dizzier by the minute with the heat and feeling afraid I would fall on my face in front of all those people. We never asked whether anything was possible; we just went for it and had some fun in the process. In addition, the Symphony of Life was blessed to offer some great events along the way featuring Byron Katie, Rev. Michael Beckwith, don Miguel Ruiz, Gay and Katie Hendricks and Jami Lula.

Yes, I would say that serving as the Spiritual Director of the Symphony of Life has been one of the most rewarding and impactful periods of my life, and I am so grateful to my congregation for all I've been given during this process of growth and expansion. It is with a thoughtful heart, therefore, that I have tendered my resignation as Spiritual Director to be effective September 29, 2013. With excitement, I am leaving so that I have more time and energy to write the book that has been seeking to express through me for some time and to expand into new horizons. I'm remaining in Ojai and will continue to do meditation retreats, workshops, and lead spiritual journeys in addition to my writing. I'm also looking forward to the opportunity to speak in other parts of the country.

The Board of Trustees of the Symphony of Life is making every effort to make this transition as smooth as possible for everyone. We will be having a congregational meeting and visioning at service on Sunday, September 15. It will be an opportunity for the congregation to come together with the Board to co-create the future. Workshop with Viki King

International Best-Selling Author and Clairvoyant Viki King is back by popular demand! This time she brings with her a direct line to access help from high places. Her workshop is entitled "1 (800) Heaven - Help From High Places," and will be held on Sunday, September 8th, from 12:30 to 3:30 PM right after service at the Symphony of Life, 441 E. Viki King has an uncanny ability to see through your life and let you know how to turn obstacles into light. She can call on spirits who can help you navigate your choices in health, finances, love and even organizing your home or settling disputes with your teenager. Symphony of Life Youth Program

We've made some wonderful improvements to our Sunday morning youth program and extend an invitation to the young people you know to come check us out at the Symphony of Life. Our teachers have created a more structured environment where youth of different ages can come and learn age appropriate prayers, songs, stories and lesson activities that will help bring spiritual principles into their daily lives for greater success. We invite you and your children or any children you know of who might enjoy an exciting, creative experience to join us on Sundays at 10:30 a.m.
