The Symphony of Life has some great events coming up in the near future. Take a quick scan below to make sure that you don't miss anything.

We begin tonight with our showing of Shakespeare Behind Bars, a 2005 documentary about 20 male inmates in a Kentucky prison who make an unlikely theater troupe. The film follows the inmates as they cast themselves in, rehearse, and perform Shakespeare's The Tempest, a film fittingly about forgiveness. Winner of eight film festival awards, the film shows tonight, August 30, at Casa de la Luna, 710 La Luna Avenue. Doors open at 6:30; the screening is at 7:00 and is offered by donation ($5-$10 suggested though no one is turned away). These inmates learn something about themselves and we learn something about them!

Then Randee Vasilakos and I will be doing a Morning Meditation Retreat at Meditation Mount on Saturday, September 7th, from 9:30 to 12:30. It is by love donation ($10 suggested) and is designed to take you on an inward mystical journey into your own soul. Take this opportunity to rest in the stillness. Quiet walks, readings and renewal.   Give yourself this nurturing gift.

Then join us at the Symphony of Life, 441 E. Ojai Avenue, from 12:30 to 3:30 on Sunday, September 8th for a wonderful workshop with International Best-Selling Author and Clairvoyant Viki King. She is back by popular demand. This time she brings with her a direct line to access help from high places. Her workshop is entitled "1(800) Heaven - Help From High Places." Viki has an uncanny ability to see through your life and let you know how to turn obstacles into light. She can call on spirits who can help you navigate your choices in health, finances, love and even organizing your home or settling disputes with your teenager. She tells me that there will be a personal message for each participant. No one leaves without help from high places and an understanding of how to access that help moving forward.

Viki is known for her wise counsel. She has an extensive clientele in the Hollywood community as well as international leaders and thousands of people in numerous countries throughout the world. She has been on CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, PBS and the BBC and European and Asian media. She was recently honored in Beijing by the Chinese film community for her work in global cinema.
