We have some good things coming up in July which you will not want to miss. But before then, check out Samsara tonight, June 28th. It's our spiritual cinema being shown at Casa de la Luna at 7:00 p.m. this evening.

Then on Friday, July 5th, at 7:00 p.m. our book club is meeting to discuss Benediction written by Kent Haruf. We will also be choosing our book selection for July. You are welcome to join in at any time.

On Saturday, July 6th, from 9:00 to 12:00 noon, Randee Vasilakos and I will be doing a wonderful morning retreat at Meditation Mount. It's an opportunity for you to give yourself a great gift of peace and love in one of my favorite places.

Then on Sunday, July 14, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., Brock Travis is doing a great workshop entitled, "Making Peace with Age, Ills, and Death." He teaches a mindful skillset for bringing serenity amidst life changes. Nothing stays the same and it's good to have a set of skills to handle the situations that come up. 

All of this and more will be discussed below. We look forward to seeing you at the Symphony of Life Spiritual Center and at these events!

Symphony of Life Spiritual Cinema Night

Tonight's Spiritual Cinema will feature Samsara, a profound visual odyssey. The filmmakers cross twenty-five countries and five continents to reveal the breadth and depth of the human experience from the mundane to the miraculous. One reviewer called it, "Nothing short of astounding. The time-lapse footage is simply transcendent. The richness, depth and clarity of color and image achieved...give birth to the most beautiful visual meditation that I have ever witnessed."

The film will be shown tonight, Friday, June 28th, at Casa de la Luna, 710 S. la Luna Avenue. Doors open at 6:30 and the movie begins at 7:00 p.m. A discussion will follow the screening. The event is by donation ($5-$10 suggested although no one is turned away for lack of funds). There is parking on the property.

A Morning Meditation Retreat

Join Rev. Karen and Practitioner Randee Vasilakos for a morning retreat that is for and about you. SOLSC Book Club

Everything the Symphony of Life does is just plain fun and that is certainly true of our book club. This is a great group of people who enjoy reading and having stimulating conversations about the books we read. We will be choosing a new book for the month of July.
