In his simple statement, Wayne is giving us a formula for inspired, wholehearted living. So many of us place our attention on what has happened in the past and we get stuck in our own limited thinking about the possibilities for the future. This is all I've ever done so this is what I'm capable of and no more. The fact is, however, when you keep your eye focused on the infinite possibility of each now moment, anything is possible.

It doesn't matter what has happened up to this moment....that is history. It's over. What matters is what you are holding in your consciousness as to the possibility for your life now. That's how we stretch and grow into the next evolution. Keep thy eye single upon the infinite nature of this universe and there is no telling what might happen next. As we begin to live from that kind of openness and allowing, we move into the flow; you can imagine the flow of Wayne Gretzky as he rockets across the ice....he is unstoppable!

What I'm abundantly clear about is that everything we desire is already here. If we are not seeing it, we are in our own way. We are the ones blocking our good. The universe does not do that. We are here to keep our eye single upon the prize....to feel it and experience it with all our senses. Wayne keeps his eye single upon the puck going into the goal, and he is always one step ahead of the game.

We, too, want to be one step ahead of the game. Just as Wayne does, we can see ourselves rocketing toward our own personal great prize and we declare ourselves unstoppable champions of this game of life!

Our affirmation for the day: I am fully engaged in wholehearted living! I am unstoppable as I rocket into greater fulfillment!

Friendship Month

Don't forget to bring a friend or friends on Sunday! May is our Friendship Month. This is the month we've particularly set aside to invite our friends and family to join us for our Sunday services. Think of someone you would like to bring and extend the invitation! We are building our spiritual community!

Volunteer Appreciation Month

This past Sunday, we celebrated our beautiful and dedicated Greeting and Usher Team and this Sunday, we will be honoring our Hospitality and Creativity Teams. We are so grateful for the folks who sign up to serve in our community.

The Symphony of Life Youth Adventures Program

We are still looking for two or three individuals who enjoy children who are willing to serve one Sunday a month as a facilitator in the Youth Adventures Program. Everything will be provided including the curriculum. If it's not you, then join me in visualizing and praying for the perfect person(s) to show up to fulfill this role for the Symphony of Life. New Class - Five Gifts of Prosperity

The Symphony of Life is presenting "5 Gifts of Prosperity," which began last night, May 9, and will run for eight Thursdays, from 7 - 9:30 pm. It's not too late to join in. Come explore tested tools for success and personal prosperity. This class will be taught by Rev. Marilyn Miller, Career Coach and Prosperity Teacher. Mother's Day Brunch

After service this Sunday, May 12, at 12:30 pm, the Symphony of Life will be having a Mother's Day Brunch at Eggs & Potatoes Restaurant here in Ojai. We will be ordering separately from the menu. Please plan on joining us as we celebrate mothers everywhere!  

Choir Rehearsal

We are delighted that Sabastien Montgomerie is going to be our interim choir director and help us learn some songs to perform at the Symphony of Life. Our next choir rehearsal is Friday, May 17 at 4:30 pm at the home of Sherry Owen, 506 Shady Lane, Ojai. You can join in at any time. Do you love to sing? This might be the activity for you! Symphony of Life Book Club

Our next Symphony of Life Book Club meeting will be held on Friday, June 14, at 7:00 p.m. We will be discussing our current book selection, A Fine Balance, by Rohinton Mistry, and choosing a new book for the month of July. You are welcome to join in at any time. If you like to read and are interested in having a stimulating conversation about the books you read, you'll enjoy this group. Symphony of Life First Annual Spring Dance

and Talent Show

It's coming soon! On Saturday night, May 18, 7:30 to 11:00 PM, the Symphony of Life is having its First Annual Spring Dance and Talent Show complete with a great band, a drawing, refreshments, and lots of fun, joy and creativity! Get down with SOuL! It will be held at the Ojai Woman's Club, 441 E. Ojai Avenue. Admission is $15.  

Regarding our Talent Show, this is your opportunity to show us what you've got! The Talent Show is open to the greater Ojai community. Tessie Goddard has been designated as our Talent Scout. You will need to contact Tessie at (805) 640-0652 if you would like to be considered for the Talent Show. This event is a fund-raiser for the Symphony of Life, so please invite your friends. Everyone is welcome! If you love to dance or if you have a talent you've been waiting to share, this night is for you!
