Join us this Sunday for a wonderful day of realization in the joy of remembering who we are as Divine Beings. Theodore Roosevelt has said that it is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly...who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly. Our life's journey is about having the courage to get into the arena of life and then playing the game full out. I'll be talking about that on Sunday. The ways in which we hide out, why we hide out and what happens when we decide to come out of hiding.
Come on out! This may be the message you hear that will send you into the arena in a way that you've not been before!

Symphony of Life Book Club Our Symphony of Life Book Club will meet on Friday, April 12, at 7:00 p.m. We will be discussing our current book selection, Flight Behavior, by Barbara Kingsolver, and choosing a new book for the month of May. You are welcome to join in at any time. If you like to read and are interested in having a stimulating conversation about the books you read, you'll enjoy this group. Old-Fashioned Homemade Bake Sale On Sunday, April 14, the Symphony of Life will be having an old-fashioned homemade bake sale right after service on the sidewalk in front of the Woman's Center. Please bring your very special homemade cakes, pies, cookies, brownies, etc. We could use your happy countenance setting up, selling, and even buying some of these goodies. Invite your friends. All proceeds will go to the Symphony of Life Spiritual Center.  Symphony of Life First Annual Spring Dance and Talent Show Save the date! On Saturday night, May 18, 7:30 to 11:00 PM, the Symphony of Life is having its First Annual Spring Dance and Talent Show complete with live music (a great band), a raffle, refreshments, lots of fun, joy and creativity! Get down with SOuL! It will be held at the Ojai Valley Woman's Club, 441 E. Ojai Avenue. Admission is $15. You can go online to www.solsc.org to register. Regarding our Talent Show, this is your opportunity to show us what you've got! This event is a fund-raiser for the Symphony of Life, so please invite your friends. Everyone is welcome! Mystical Mediterranean Odyssey July 25 - August 3, 2013 Join Rev. Karen on an amazing Mystical Mediterranean Odyssey from Istanbul, Turkey to the holy city of Rome, Italy, cities filled with architectural wonders and monuments to the faiths that inspired them. There will be morning and evening meditations, led by Rev. Karen throughout the voyage. As we go back in time, we will take our own personal inward journey in discovery of the mystical in us.
