Happy Valentine's Day! Yes, Valentine's Day is coming and the subject is love! Our deep and abiding nature is love. Our great challenge is to keep our hearts open no matter what is coming in our direction.
In his book, The Untethered Soul, Michael Singer talks about our phenomenal hearts. "If at any given point in time the heart happens to open, we fall in love. If at any given point in time it happens to close, the love stops........The highest state you have ever experienced is simply the result of how open you were. If you don't close, it can be like that all the time......unending inspiration, unending love, and unending openness. That is the natural state of a healthy heart."
Join us this Sunday as we explore the nature of the heart and what it means to live in transcendent love.

Our Sacred Service Event at St. Andrews Below are some pictures snapped by our resident photographer, Todd Chandler, during our January 30th Sacred Service Event which was held at the St. Andrews Community Building. The Symphony of Life purchased, prepared and served a full-course dinner to several members of the Ojai Valley Family Shelter. We were blessed to have Patricia Cardinali join us with her fabulous music. It was a festive and happy occasion for everyone. Enjoy the pictures below.  Love to Sing? The next rehearsal for our newly formed Symphony of Life Choir is tonight, Friday, February 8, at 5:00 p.m. We meet at Sherry Owen's home, 506 Shady Lane here in Ojai. Join Practitioner Randee Vasilakos and Rev. Karen Wylie tomorrow, Saturday, February 9, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for a blessed inward journey to discover and commune with the sacred Self. There will be readings and walks in nature in the beautiful surroundings of Meditation Mount, 10340 Reeves Road, here in Ojai.  Volunteer of the Month for January We continue to honor Robert MacNeal for his selfless service to the Symphony of Life. "Who he is does make a difference." Robert seems to be one of the first persons people think of when help is needed, and the blessing of Robert is that he usually says "yes." In addition, he was our main chef for our Sacred Service Evening at St. Andrews, and he frequently prepares food for our Sunday services. We are grateful that Robert is a loving part of our community!
 Mystical Mediterranean Odyssey June 27 - July 6, 2013 Join Rev. Karen on an amazing Mystical Mediterranean Odyssey from the holy city of Rome, Italy to Istanbul, Turkey, cities filled with architectural wonders and monuments to the faiths that inspired them. There will be morning and evening meditations, led by Rev. Karen throughout the voyage. As we go back in time, we will take our own personal inward journey in discovery of the mystical in us.
