SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I send you loving greetings as we enter 2013! As an individualized expression of Spirit, let us enter this New Year awake and aware, with the intention to live life more consciously and mindfully with love, compassion and joy.
Come join us this Sunday for our service of celebration. We will be looking back at the year 2012 to see what we have learned and in what ways we've grown. We will be releasing whatever blocks we perceive to be holding us back from the good that is our destiny if we so choose it, and we will be looking to see what we are willing to receive and commit to in 2013. It should be a very rich morning of contemplation, discovery and intention.
Meditation begins at 10:00 a.m. and the service will start at 10:30.
SCIENCE OF MIND CLASSES BEGINNING IN JANUARY
We will be offering two 10-week classes beginning in January. Tuition is $200 for each class. I will be teaching the foundational class, "Tools for Spiritual Living," from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. beginning on Wednesday, January 9. This class teaches the basics of metaphysics to deepen spiritual awareness and provide powerful tools for creating the life you want to live.
The second class is "Practical Mysticism" taught by Rev. Marilyn Miller beginning on Thursday, January 10. This class provides the framework for the student to live a more mystical life in present time. This course is ideal for anyone seeking to deepen his or her own awareness of the Divine reality in daily living.

BRIEF INTRODUCTION TO THE SCIENCE OF MIND
Also this Sunday right after service, we will be offering a brief introduction to the study of the Science of Mind. This preview presentation will begin around 12:15 in the sanctuary. It will be an opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the classes or the study of the Science of Mind.
SACRED SERVICE EVENT
For our Sacred Service Event during this first quarter of 2013, we will be serving the Ojai Valley Family Shelter. On Wednesday, January 30, from 3:30 to approximately 8:00 p.m. in the evening, volunteers from our congregation will be serving a full-course dinner to 25 individuals from the shelter. Our commitment is to provide, cook and serve appetizers, a full-course dinner and dessert. We will be planning a menu, buying the food, setting the tables, preparing and serving the food and washing the dishes afterward. The event is held at the St. Andrews Church community building at the corner of Bristol and Ojai Avenue. Last night I visited St. Andrews to see the current team in action, and it was a very joyful experience. It was surely a testimony that the gift is in the giving. A sign-up sheet will be available at our center for the next couple of Sundays or you can contact me, Rev.
