October Ridership up 11%, Sets Record

Despite declining gas prices, October 2012 marked the highest month for bus ridership in HART history!
Fast facts:
- October 2012 totaled 1,344,854, or an increase of 10.6 percent compared to the same month last year.
- October 2012 ridership marked 129,144 more trips than the same month last year.
- October 2012 topped the previous monthly record set March 2012 by more than 65,000 trips.
- October 2012 is the first time HART monthly bus ridership has marked more than 1.3 million trips.
- Year-to-date in 2012 (January-October), bus ridership has totaled 12,102,828 and is on its way to surpassing 2011's record ridership year of 13,940,921.
- October 2012 streetcar ridership totaled 28,220, or an increase of 11.2 compared to the same month last year.
