The owners of the company pick the flowers at the height of their bloom and quickly crystallize them to preserve their natural color and beauty. Perched atop a wedding cake or petit fours, these delicate blooms look like the real thing but they won't wilt. A simple vanilla cupcake is transformed into a dessert that will elicit "oohs" and "aahs." Even savory dishes become magical heightened by a bright floral garnish - think bowls of gazpacho, salads or cheese platters. Headed by father-daughter team, David and Kelly Sasuga, Fresh Origins is a sustainable, food-saftey certified farm just outside of San Diego, California that specializes in edible flowers, micro greens and micro vegetables.
