Fig Jam L'Epicurien French Jams
Close your eyes and let the cold winter months melt away. With just one bite of the Extra Fruity Jams from L'Epicurien you will be transported to the south of France, where the warm breezes of the Mediterranean enhance the tastes of Provence. L'Epicurien still uses traditional jam making methods which retains the integrity of the seasonal fruit they are using. Master jam maker, Bernard Le Gulvout, takes apricots and figs harvested at the peak of their ripeness and packs them into massive cauldrons with natural cane sugar. He simmers the fruit until it becomes a sumptuous spread ideal for slathering on a piece of toasted brioche or pairing with cheese
Apricot Jam
Beyond a Condiment...

Use these jams to top cheesecake, panna cotta or ice cream. Fill thumbprint cookies with fig jam and drizzle with Saba for an updated version of this classic kids' treat. Or on the savory side, make a beautiful pan sauce for duck with a spoonful of fig jam, shallots and a splash of port.

Cocktails Anyone?

Lately, we have seen the trend of using jams and marmalades in cocktails. Apricot whiskey sour anyone? Place 2 ounces bourbon, 1 ounce lemon juice, ounce simple syrup and a teaspoon of apricot jam with a good amount of ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a twist of lemon.
