Community Impact - Volunteer Opportunities for Young Professionals

Volunteers Needed for Charity Supply Drive Jan. 24th at Wal-Mart

The Barton County Young Professionals group's Community Impact Team is organizing a Charity Supply Drive on Saturday, January 24th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. where we will work with the Great Bend Rotary Club to collect non-perishable food and household supply items for three local charities in Barton County. The Hoisington Food Bank will be one of the recipients. We are looking for YP Members to sign up for 1-hour shifts.

This is a great way to put the Young Professionals group in front of the hundreds of Saturday shoppers at Wal-Mart, while giving back to our community as well. Volunteers are responsible for passing out shopping lists to customers and collecting donations of food and supplies to fill a party bus that will be on-site during the event. It's also a great way to have fun getting to know other YP members while you volunteer! If you are available to volunteer, contact Community Impact Team member Candice Moeder at [email protected] or post in the event shared through the Barton County Young Professionals Facebook group.
