Product News from our friend Dan Ahern In Emeryville, California. Dan, thanks for sharing!
I learned last week of a 'trending' item in our industry.... For many of you it's probably old news but for me, it was one of those "Aha!" moments.
BlenderBottle is a registered trademark for a factory that sells retail but came into ASI big time middle of last year. The bottles are BPA free plastic, easy screw on/off, nice spout lid to drink through, and come with a round stainless steel 'whisk' ball. I bought one for one of my sons who drinks protein powder and use it now myself. They are really great items and I can see why they are so popular. (Click image for larger pdf)
Uses: Blending or mixing drinks where one puts in powder. Example: protein powder, 'milk shake' powder, breakfast drink powder, nutrition, diet powder, etc. Audiences: Anyone who has to 'blend' or mix a drink OR anyone who just likes this very hot retail item Travel: They fit in most bottle holder trays in cars. Dishwasher/top rack (domestic NOT commercial) safe
Confusion about 'exclusivity':
Per Allen Colorcraft, ASI 34330 BlenderBottle has issued only one license to print these bottles in our industry and that is to Colorcraft.
"But wait Dan! Crown Products has these! And so do some other dudes I don't know much about! What's the real truth?!";
Per Crown, they know NOTHING about an exclusive to ColorCraft and per ColorCraft they know nothing about Crown also getting an exclusive. But, both do agree that there are some knock-offs out here so that may be the real kernel of knowledge to extract.
ColorCraft 1. Pricing: NO EQP on this or any 'branded' item they sell;
2. Sells both 20 and 28 oz. Sales equal in each;
3. All lid colors offered (body is always that translucent/clear color;
4. Print one color only;
Crown:
1. Only sells 28 oz;
2. Only carries black and blue and they are not deep in inventory;
3. Can do multi-color
4. EQP yes but pricing not as good as column pricing from CC.
Common to both suppliers:
1. The BlenderBottle logo is ALWAYS on the item and it matches the lid color. So, a red lid = red BB logo, etc. 2. Logo on one side ONLY; 3. "Avoid the knockoffs who call them 'BlenderBottles'. And there are quite a few out here!
So, no need to reply. Just wanted to share with you what I am seeing as growing in popularity for HR departments, picnics, health fairs, commuters, etc.
If someone wants the real deal, go to ColorCraft first because their inventory is deep. As of today, all items were well stocked except Green. There's no forecasted arrival date of Green....
Hope this helps someone get a nice order.

Dan
