LYNN NATIVO Breaks 1 Million in sales in the first week in May!
Lynn Nativo has nurtured one of her large customers from a great account to a MEGA account. In the last 3 weeks Lynn has landed a near Million dollar contract allowing her to break the Million dollar sales barrier.
Congratulations to Lynn for an awesome start to the year! Check out Lynn's story below, what a great way to celebrate 25 years in the industry.
On May first I celebrated 25 years in this great industry. It allowed me to move from Virginia to Chicago and now to Florida and keep my loyal clients.
Once I moved to Orlando and signed up for the appointment setting program Mr. Pete (not my husband), it has grown my local business and forced me to learn my way around! I landed an account that has blossomed into a nice weekly paycheck and others that are very profitable. But not like the Virginia Lottery who was one of my first customers.
Over the years I have searched each of the key players until I landed the largest order of my career which was over a million dollars. None of this would have been possible without the support of Albrecht & Chris Gross. I am truly blessed to have bumped into Chris at the Bic Pen party in Dallas in 1999 when I was complaining that they were rationing the shrimp. She immediately contacted Fred and the rest is history. How lucky could I be to have a wonderful husband, great family, perfect dog and work for the number one promotional company in all of America!!

Proforma Albrecht represented in the "Flying Pig" Marathon.
Lara and Angele, best friends since grade school and co-workers exhibit the same enthusiasm in their race as they do every day at the office, they tell me their jobs help them train since everyday they race through their work to help their sales reps win their business. (Lara on the left and Angele on the right on both photos) "When Pigs Fly", only in Cincinnati. Check out our account executives Angele Hermes and Lara Korbe who ran the Toyota 10K run. Toyota happens to be one of Cindy Hite's largest clients which was a great venue for our Angele and Lara to show their spirit and the results of their year long training regimen, both finished the 10K and Lara went on to run in another 5K event the same day with her niece and sister, also pictured in the photo. The Flying Pig marathon has become and annual event in Cincinnati and attracts runners from all over the globe. The Toyota 10K kicked off a full Saturday of events leading up to the Flying Pig Marathon on Sunday. The Toyota 10K offers runners and walkers a scenic tour of downtown Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, with dedicated water stops, mile markers, course monitors and, of course, the highly-coveted Flying Pig finisher's medal. The event starts on Pete Rose Way and finishes in Yeatman's Cove, sharing the finish line with the Marathon. Congratulations to Angele and Lara for accomplishing their goals!

 Success Story from Rick Tapio
Rick Tapio was kind enough to share a success he recently had with a lapel pin order he placed with Mike Brothers. We asked him to give us a "life of an order" analysis of this pin order to give you insight on how he has used his creativity along with our PLP, Mike Brothers to create note only a nice order but also a loyal customer and expanded into several additional departments. It all started with a need, the customer, Morraine Valley Community college needed a commemorative product to be awarded during a graduation ceremony for their Gerontology Department. The department envisioned a "Pinning Ceremony" at graduation. "Gerontology is the study of the social, psychological and biological aspects of aging. It is distinguished from geriatrics, which is the branch of medicine that studies the diseases of older adults." Wikipedia Yes, I had to look it up :) )Rick worked with Mike Brothers and our artist, "The Art Department, Leigh Anne Schuler" to come up with a great design. Check out Rick's 6 step process: This all resulted in a very happy customer as you can see by the email Rick received from his contact: ______________________________________________________________________________ -----Original Message-----From: Urbanic, JanieSent: Tuesday, May 13, 2014 9:18 AMTo: rcjtapio@sbcglobal.netCc: Phelan, Susan; Willis, LoShaySubject: Gero PinsHi Rick. I attended the Moraine Valley Health Sciences Pinning Ceremony last evening and saw the Gerontology pin 'in the flesh' for the first time...it is beautiful! The graduate recipients commented how much they love it. I'm sure they will wear it proudly.Thank you so much for seeing me through the process and for your great design suggestions. We couldn't be happier with the results.JanieJanie L Urbanic, MA, LPCProgram CoordinatorGerontology Certificate Program______________________________________________________________________________ These were pinned on graduates of this program at a "pinning ceremony." Also for this one college, I sell pins for these other programs: Health Information Honors Mammography Phlebotomy RadTech Addiction Counseling Respiratory Therapy - Service Awards (those get the diamonds & sapphires) - Diversity The resulting order was for 100 pins, a roughly $500.00 sale. What About the Artwork?
If you sell promotional products, then you have surely been given bad artwork by the client. Then you've been told by the factory its not good and you need "camera ready," or "vector" artwork. And, you might have no idea what that means.
The term "camera ready" comes from the days when artwork to be printed had to be photographed using very large cameras with high contrast film. The film only picked up whats black on a piece of art, so the art had to be very crisp and pure black and white to photograph correctly. This film was used to create plates for printing.
Although the cameras are obsolete now, the same type of art is still needed to output digital film. Today, instead of hand creating the art using artboards, the art is created using an illustration program such as Adobe Illustrator. (btw, I still have one of these behemoths in my obsolete darkroom!)
Vector artwork means that the art is being drawn using lines and curves that are not resolution dependent. The files can be blown up or shrunk down with no loss of detail. Bitmap or jpg type files are made up of tiny pixels that are all shades of color, there are no crisp edges. When it gets blown up, it gets very jaggedy. See below for an example of what a jpg looks like before, and then after, when it has been redrawn into vector.
Redrawing a logo into vector art can be labor intensive, and its not just a matter of saving a jpg as an eps to make it magically convert. It actually has to be hand traced using a mouse, around every part of the artwork. The image below shows the jaggedy image below, and then what is in red is the actual trace around the art to make it crisp and clean. If you need your logo or artwork redrawn into vector, then send me an email for a quote. Besides redrawing artwork into vector, I do all other types of artwork as well such as ads, brochures, sell sheets, virtual samples... you name it. Click the PDF for a full page flyer. Thanks!
