This Labor Day celebrate your true passion and discover your purpose. As independent sales professionals, you are all CEO's of yourself. In a day when 45% of the adult workforce are employed by more than one employer, more people are on public assistance than ever before, and employment for our youth has actually dropped in the last several years we should all take a moment to reflect on the fortunes this industry allows us to enjoy. Think about your own life and the impact you can have on your own destiny, you decide who to sell to, when to sell and where to work every day of your life. You have no large corporation telling you what to do or how to do it, rather you have a partner with a team of dedicated, full time professional hard working PEOPLE to help you achieve your own personal goals.
Labor Day is a celebration of labor, so celebrate, you have worked hard all year you deserve all you have achieved. The opportunity in our industry is limitless. Distributors are reporting record sales as the industry continues to expand. There are no geographic borders, every business, organization and government entity are prospects, They need your services and are willing to pay you for your expertise, now that's something to celebrate. At a time when so many Americans do not control their own destinies, you can TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR FUTURE. So as you celebrate Labor Day, reflect on your past 9 months. What do you want to change, what successes did you have in the past 9 months that you want to replicate in the next 3? Yes, it is once again time to PLAN, EXECUTE and EVALUATE. The next 3 months are traditionally the most lucrative months in our industry. Every business in America will be searching for GIFTS, Holiday Cards, Branded Apparel, Printed Marketing Material, Tradeshow Materials, Calendars, Bags, Drinkware, Technology gifts and yes even more writing instruments. They are not only looking to spend their year end budgets, they will be planning their first quarter marketing strategy. Sit down with your top 5 accounts - it is time for your last "Quarterly Review" of the year. After all, what businessman or woman DOES NOT LIKE talking about themselves or their business or their dreams and goals. This Labor Day, celebrate your accomplishments and be proud that you are a sales professional that makes the US economy tick. Nothing happens in America until a sales professional makes a sale:-)

Chan Williams - Chan may not be on the Pro Circuit (YET) but he has learned how to make Big Money on the Golf Course. Check out his recent story while playing a round of golf.
After finding my old friend Ronnie Brannen on LinkedIn back in May I began to play golf with him. As a result of reconnecting, I've been able to write over $14K in business with him in less than 4 months. He's also introduced me (While playing Golf ) to another contact that's about to order $2K dollars worth of products for his company. So even though you'll never see me on TV on a Sunday afternoon collecting a big PGA check, playing golf has allowed me to enjoy a few Thursday direct deposits that I wouldn't have had without having played golf professionally:)) |

Rick Tapio, Marketing Genius gets his prospects attention by talking trash. Check out Rick's mail campaign, very unique in that he send his prospects and clients to be reactivated a garbage can with his logo and a "pre-crumpled letter". Naturally it is all in good fun and he includes he profile as well as an updated company profile letting his prospects know that he can be their marketing genius as well. Great touch Rick, thanks for sharing.
