As the end of 2015 approaches, we are reminded to reflect on the past as we eagerly look forward to the New Year. I am grateful to be part of a profession that focuses on the growth and development of young people. What a privilege it is to hear about a student losing his first tooth and to learn about a senior's first college acceptance. Incredible moments such as these fill every day. I cherish watching students explore ideas, develop new interests, and delight in their learning. When I spend time with our students, I see a future filled with hope and promise.

I wish all of you a restful and peaceful vacation. I look forward to seeing you in 2016 and spending the new year with your children.
