Welcome to the 2014-2015 School year! I am excited about the year ahead as we embark on our theme "Design for Excellence." As I mentioned in my summer letter, the teachers have been working hard to prepare their classrooms and curriculum for an outstanding educational experience for your children. From designing new STEAM units to enhancing lessons by using cutting edge and relevant technologies, I believe our faculty and staff are well-prepared and dedicated to providing a first-rate, distinctive education. I am eager to be part of the many successes your children will experience this year.
This year we will continue to publish our weekly Bulletin on Fridays. I hope you will read it carefully, so you can prepare yourselves and your children for the week ahead. Please be sure to scroll down to read the Parents' Association's news, and try to take time to read the news in the divisions other than your child's. This is a great way to understand what is happening on campus. In addition, the main calendar changes occasionally, and all changes will be posted on our website and in the weekly Bulletin.
While we try to limit direct emails, we will send out grade specific or important information at times, as well as weather-related changes or concerns that may need immediate attention.
Please remember we have a proximity-card security system. We ask that all parents and visitors check in with our greeter at #69 Middlesex Road. Our students in grades 5-12 will continue to have a personal card, and children in the Lower School will have the same teacher-directed system as last year.
I look forward to welcoming you to my campus home on the opening days, so we can share a cup of coffee and exchange our thoughts on the year ahead.
Sincerely,
Judy Guild
