STOP BULLYING ME!? new work by Cody Blomberg
Recipient of a 2012 CityArtist Award, Cody Blomberg takes on the bullying of LGBTQ youth with this illuminating multi-media series of installations. Light, backpacks, and other media deliberately connect viewers to the various emotional aspects of bullying. This third showing of "Stop Bullying Me!" follows exhibits in the art classrooms of Cascade Middle School and Washington Middle School, where Cody Blomberg and Katrina Pestano (from Safe Schools Coalition) workshopped the pieces with 250 students.
Opening March 14, 6-9pm at Gay City, 517 E Pike St, Seattle WA
Exhibit dates: March 14, 15, 16, & 18 Gallery Hours 11am-6pm
Conversation with the artist Saturday March 16, 12-2pm
