In observance of Cinco De Mayo I posted a bit on my journey to
Todos Santos. Maybe it’s being an Angeleno, or my connection to old Mexican things, but I have a deep yearning to explore the great country down south. My dream would be to go to Oxaca or San Miguel de Allende, but for today I am grateful to have had my little jaunt to Todos Santos. Anywhere that has a population of artists and ex pats, can make for an interesting interlude. The best thing was meeting the folks who are authentic to themselves like the wonderful
Euva (adornment) and
Ezio (Nourish).
Today my daughter had a may pole dance for her school (more on this next week). The gathering of children in white with flower wreaths in their hair literally brought tears to my eyes. Again it reminded me how vital community is for us, and how seeing the children dance as it has been done for thousands of years keeps us connected to our lineage and planet.
I hope you have happy saints surrounding you . . .
