Historic Homes Tour Is This Saturday
Poudre Landmarks Foundation's 32nd annual Historic Homes Tour is this Saturday, September 10, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This venerable late-summer event gives you an inside peek at six private residences and two historic city-owned properties.

Grab your favorite walking shoes and your fitness tracker, because this year's tour is a fun way to reach your daily steps

goal. Aside from the 1883 Water Works, the buildings on the tour are within walking distance of the Avery House. See a map of the tour to plan out your day. Of course, if your trotters get tired while touring, you can catch a free ride on the Mountain Avenue trolley. Tour-ticket holders ride free on tour day, courtesy of the Fort Collins Municipal Railway Society.

Tour tickets are $25 in advance and $30 on tour day. Purchase tickets online, or buy in person at several local stores. (Click here for names of local outlets.)

The tour is also bicycle friendly, with bike racks provided at each stop.

Buy Lunch at Food Truck on Historic Homes Tour
While you're touring the charming buildings on this year's tour--and meeting your daily step goals--stop by the Avery House to "refuel." The Trattoria Oreganata food truck will be stationed at the Avery House on 328 W. Mountain Avenue during the tour. The truck sells authentic Italian food, with some creative twists using local, fresh ingredients. Stop by to purchase lunch or a snack during the tour, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Support this new local business while enjoying local history and historical sites!
