PLF's Time Travelers Ball: Equinox Adventures was held March 19 at the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery. The event was a huge hit, with costumed attendees enjoying delicious food, live music and dancing, intriguing museum exhibits, Digital Dome movies, and an equinox-inspired egg-balancing contest. The Doctor Who-style TARDIS photo booth was an amazement to all.

PLF extends a hearty thank you to all who participated in the ball. You may have met Karol Harding on one of your tours of the Avery House. This long-time docent is also an expert costume designer and seamstress. Each year the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) has a themed contest for all DAR members who are artists and craft experts. In this year's contest, Ms. Harding was selected as the National First Place Winner in the category of Historic Costume. Ms. Harding credits her work with the Avery House costume committee with advancing her education on historic costumes.

PLF congratulates Ms. Harding and is proud to share the news about her well-deserved award.

The Avery House and the Water Works are a favorite photo-shoot spot of a few crafting publications edited and produced in Northern Colorado. Behind some of the lovely garments and models, you will recognize distinctive Avery House and Water Works architecture!
