PLF Wishes You a Happy Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving in the late-Victorian era was much like the cozy holiday of today, with a focus on family and food. Mothers involved their children in making the meal, passing on treasured family recipes to the younger generation.

Picturing the Avery children and their mother enjoying time together in the kitchen is easy to do when you visit the Avery House, especially when it's decorated for the holidays.

See the Avery House bedecked in Victorian style beginning Thanksgiving weekend, November 28 & 29, 1 to 4 p.m. Visit poudrelandmarks.org for the full holiday events schedule!
Your Donation Dollars Go Further on Dec. 8!

I Gave EarlyColorado Gives Day -- an annual statewide movement to celebrate and increase philanthropy in Colorado through online giving -- is on December 8. Every donation given on Colorado Gives Day goes further: A $1 million incentive fund and awards and prizes add up to extend every dollar donated.

With your donation, Poudre Landmarks Foundation can continue to promote historic preservation and education in Fort Collins through community events such as Old-Fashioned 4th of July at the Avery House, Big Splash at the Water Works, and school tours of the Avery House.

Please schedule your Dec. 8 donation to PLF today, then use the "I Gave Early" badge in your social media profiles to tell your friends about Colorado Gives Day and encourage them to Give Where They Live!
