THIS SATURDAY!
Historic Homes Tour
Travel Through Time:
150 Years in the Fort
Saturday, September 13th
10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Tickets $20 in advance
$25 Day of Tour
This year's Historic Homes Tour provides a peek inside six homes that span the life of Fort Collins. "Travel through Time: 150 years in the Fort" will feature two homes in old town, two homes in midtown and two mid-century modern homes near the Fort Collins Country Club as well as the 1879 Avery House, 1882-1883 Fort Collins water works and Auntie Stone's Cabin dating to 1864.
Homes selected for this year's tour will give attendees a feel for how homes have changed over the last century and a half. From classic elements to striking architectural styles, the homes on tour this year will provide an amazing 150 year journey through time. In addition, the Fort Collins Municipal Railway will be giving free rides to House Tour ticket holders on the day of the tour.
The event is a fundraiser for the Poudre Landmarks Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving, restoring, protecting and interpreting Fort Collins' architectural and cultural heritage.
New this year will be a panel discussion "Fort Collins Architectural Heritage, or what to look for on the Historic Homes Tour" to be held Sept. 11 from 7 to 8:30 pm at the Avery Carriage House, 108 North Meldrum Street, Fort Collins. This program will give participants the opportunity to learn more about architectural design within the history of Fort Collins and specifically the 9 structures on tour this year. Tickets for this special event are only available in advance for $10 on-line at www.poudrelandmarks.org.
Tickets for the 30th annual Historic Homes Tour are $20 in advance ($25 the day of the tour), and are available at the following Fort Collins locations:
