Ownership Transition in Southeastern Pennsylvania
A Northeastern Philadelphia packaging equipment manufacturer contacted SEWN for assistance with an ownership transition from one generation to the next. After completing a business analysis, SEWN helped the new owner identify and value the existing business assets and begin the process of restructuring to meet the new market needs. SEWN also worked with the new owner to determine optimal utilization for the facility and a work flow process related to the new business model.

Financial Restructuring in Northeastern Pennsylvania
A Northeastern Pennsylvania logistics and contract manufacturing firm began to experience financial issues related to compliance with loan covenants held with their bank. The company's attorney and CPA referred the company to SEWN to provide assistance with refinancing. After meeting with the company and assessing their situation, SEWN ascertained that the company would be a good candidate for an SBA 504 Loan through SEDA COG. SEWN facilitated the meeting with the company and partners to move forward and successfully secure their refinancing.

Cost Management and New Product Development in Central Pennsylvania
A Central Pennsylvania manufacturer of recycled and "green" products experience growth-related cash flow issues while developing and launching new products into the market while utilizing a unique process. SEWN provided the company with a cash flow modeling and financial positioning tools. These tools enabled the company to present its finances in a positive light to its bank. SEWN also provided the company with a listing of resources for raw materials, and is working with the company and several private partners to leverage the company into the marketplace with their new products. SEWN will continue to assist the company and their partners in attaining grant funding to support these efforts.

Sales and Marketing in Western Pennsylvania
A Western Pennsylvania manufacturer of specialized trailers saw its sales plummet by sixty percent. A large portion of the company's revenue came from specialized construction trailers - a sector that was hit hard with the Great Recession and the resulting credit crunch. SEWN provided the company with a marketing and sales plan that capitalized on the company's legendary super-structure, resale value, and customization. Other areas of opportunity included product badge development and refinements to the company's e-commerce efforts.
