SUCCESS STORY
"C&M Stalker Sells Gives Back to Their Community and Soldiers"
Craig and Melissa Stalker started C&M Stalker Sells as a home based business in April 2012 due to the lack of supplemental and health store products in our area and the overall health of our residents. In June of 2013, with the assistance of the Paintsville Morehead State Small Business Development Center C&M Stalker Sells opened their store front in the Town and Country Building in Paintsville. Stalker commented on the services he has received since he first visited the Paintsville SBDC, "The SBDC is a wonderful resource for businesses that plan to expand and are unsure of regulations, licensing, bookkeeping, and other issues that come into play when having a store front business versus a home based business. They have continued to support my business after opening and I would recommend the SBDC to businesses owners when starting or expanding their business."
Craig and Melissa wanting to give back to their community began working with the Paintsville High School football team weight lifting program in August 2013. Working with Coach Kinner and Coach Chirico, Stalker provided proper nutrition instructions for athletes and discounts on nutritional products for participants in the program. Stalker is currently working with the Paintsville weight lifting program to provide an in-house refrigerator and providing on-site nutritional products to participants of the weight lifting team.
During the holidays C&M Stalker Sells worked with the Cabinet for Family and Children in West Liberty to provide protein bars at discounted rates to soldiers located at the Paris Island marine training base in Beaufort, South Carolina. During Christmas, Stalker mailed over 140 protein bars to marines during Christmas who were in training at the base. This was just another way for C&M Stalker Sells to continue in their efforts of giving back.
C&M Stalker Sells is located in the Town and Country building on the second floor of Broadway in Paintsville, KY. They can be contacted by calling 606-264-5903.
