2013 Pacesetters Awards
Thelma Maynard of Giovanni's Pizza in Pikeville received a Pacesetter Award in Frankfort, Kentucky on May 22,2013. She was recognized for the high performance of her business. Some of the criteria were increased employment, increased sales, innovativeness, response to adversity, employee engagement and commitment, and contribution to her community. She was nominated by the Pikeville SBDC office.
Also wining was Drug Testing Centers 
of America in Paintsville. They offer a full-range of occupational services including management of employment drug screening, alcohol testing, hearing tests, pulmonary tests and respiratory tests. Founded by Sandy Dingus in 2007, DTCA has experienced consistent growth with revenues more than doubling. Today DTCA employs seven full-time employees and 10 independent contractors. DTCA works to give back to the community by donating and volunteering with local programs.

C M Stalker Sales
Craig and Melissa Stalker started C&M Stalker Sells as a home based business in April 2012. They initially began this business due to the lack of supplemental and health store products in our area and the overall health of our residents. When beginning to look at a store front they visited a local lender. The lender referred the Stalker's to Michelle Spriggs, management consultant, with Morehead State University's Paintsville SBDC.

The Stalker's met with Spriggs to discuss locations, initial inventory expenses, permits, licenses and working capital. In the weeks to follow, Spriggs worked to develop a business plan and financial projections for expansion to a store front location. Mr. and Mrs. Stalker finalized all needed documentation and returned to their lender to receive financing for their business expansion. Approved shortly after submission the Stalker's were on their way to seeing their store front health and supplement business become a reality.
C&M Stalker Sells provides quality products from over 300 brand supplement companies. They keep on hand several top selling brands and can have any item you need in as little as 2 days. Craig and Melissa Stalker are both certified through the International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN) to provide knowledgeable and trusted consultation on products. C&M also carries top of the line bodybuilding supplements, vitamins, and special products for persons with diabetes or high blood pressure. C&M Stalker Sells main goal is to bring a high quality, trusted, safe, and valuable product to their customers.
C&M Stalker Sells celebrated their grand opening on Saturday June 1, 2013 at noon by providing customers with free samples and tours of their new store front. Check out C&M Stalker Sells at the Town and Country Building at 215 Broadway, Paintsville. Store hours are Monday-Saturday 10AM-6PM., Closed Sunday. Phone 606-369-8718.
