A Word From Prime Time
ACHIEVE OST and iMotivate Are Here!

The ACHIEVE Out-of-School Time (OST) Program is here! ACHIEVE OST is a tiered incentive award program that rewards practitioners for participating in trainings and earning certificates and degrees, with an emphasis on best practices in youth development. Prime Time has sunsetted the WAGE$ Afterschool Project and is now offering the new and improved ACHIEVE OST Program in its place. The new program is designed to increase afterschool program stability and improve program quality by reducing staff turnover and encouraging afterschool practitioners to continue their education. Children and youth benefit from continuous care from practitioners who are specialists in the out-of-school-time field, understand best practices in
youth development and are sensitive to their needs.

iMotivate is a new Prime Time strategy designed to further increase program quality within programs that participate in Prime Time's Quality Improvement System (QIS).  This initiative is a performance based recognition program that financially recognizes eligible QIS programs with a merit-based, incentive awards, to re-invest back into their programs.  The award amounts are based on a tiered process through which a program demonstrates implementation of advanced youth development, staff development, and program management practices.  These practices are in concert and direct relationship with a program's voluntary participation and work in the Palm Beach County QIS.  Funding is provided by the Children's Services Council of Palm Beach County, based upon availability of funds.

Fun and Learning at the Expanded Learning
Opportunities (ELO) Showcase

More than 100 guests gathered at Prime Time's ELO Showcase on Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at the Therapeutic Recreation Complex, Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation (a generous partner with Prime Time for this event).

After a continental breakfast and a brief presentation, afterschool professionals had the opportunity to visit the booths of 15 ELO providers from various community organizations that bring engaging learning experiences to children and youth in out-of-school time programs.  Prime Time funds these organizations through the generous support of the Children's Services Council of Palm Beach County.  Afterschool professionals returned to their programs with great news to share with their children and choose their ELO offering(s) based upon the children's interests.
To add to the fun, there was a grand prize drawing.  Congratulations to the winner ... Pat Packard (a loyal supporter of Prime Time's afterschool consortium networking events) from Golden Grove Elementary! The prize was bountiful with great items, gift cards and admission tickets.   Prime Time thanks all of its ELO organizations for contributing items for both the grand prize and additional prizes for this event.
