Nicole Edwards, Professional Development Manager at Prime Time,
 is Presenting at the Association 
of Psychological Type International (APTI)
Researchers, consultants, educators, authors, coaches, and psychologists come together every
two years to take an in-depth look into the Myers-Briggs Type IndicatorŪ (MBTIŪ), the work of Carl Jung and the application in their respective roles. Nicole Edwards, Manager of Professional Development at Prime Time, took part in the Maximum Impact Talks at APTI. Nicole presented The Progressive Out-of-School-Time Practitioner using the MBTI in professional development for youth development professionals.

What is a Progressive Out-of-School-Time Practitioner?
A thought leader. A catalyst for growth. An out-of-school-time (OST) professional who is a champion for the youth development field, as well as someone who embraces an innovative approach to professional development goal-setting that includes taking a closer look into personal strengths and preferences.

Dance Camp Palm Beach County Presents

"New Beginnings"

On Friday, July 24, 2015 more than 50 youth from three Boys & Girls Clubs ( Marjorie S. Fisher, Boca Raton and Naoma Donnelly Haggin) performed "New Beginnings" at the Delray Beach Center for the Arts at Old School Square to an audience of more than 200 family members, supporters and funders. The performance was the finale to Prime Time's three-week inaugural program named Dance Camp Palm Beach County. 

The mission of Dance Camp Palm Beach County is to utilize the art of dance in an atmosphere of warmth, respect and trust and to develop self-confidence, creative expression and critical thinking skills in young people ages 7-11. 

Thank you Children's Services Council of Palm Beach County, the Boys & Girls Club of Palm Beach County, and Delray Beach Center for the Arts, Dance Camp Palm Beach County staff and consultant for keeping the arts alive in our community.

Out-of-School Time News  

The Discover Series at the Center for Creative Education (CCE) provides children with a variety of arts experiences in eight different art areas. In this three-year program beginning with children in third grade, youth will discover their passion for the arts and use their imagination through dancing, singing, playing, acting, performing and creating. Each art unit in the first year culminates in a professional, performance, interactive presentation or demonstration by local artists and community arts organizations.

 

Now accepting applications for students currently in the second grade (third grade students for the 2015-2016 school year). Limited spaces may be available for incoming students in the fourth-grade for year two of the programs on a first-come first-served basis. No auditions are required and no prior art and music experience is necessary.  All art materials and instruments will be provided.

Prime Time ELO providers offer afterschool programs a variety of rich, content-based activities in the specialized areas of academics, positive youth development, health and wellness, and arts and creativity, that help to promote continuous learning and new opportunities. The ELO Providers' Showcase gives you the opportunity to hear directly from the ELO providers about their programming and inform them of your interest in it.
