The Peanut Butter & Jelly Project
Wanted...Jars of Peanut Butter & Jelly as well as other kid friendly foods!
During the school year the free and reduced lunch program offers meals each school day to students of low income families, but where do they eat in the summertime? During the summer months these kids lose this much needed subsidy. Food pantries never have enough food or items like peanut butter & jelly to give to less fortunate families with kids.
Drop your donation off at either library branch by June 24!

What Staff are Reading
|
Kathleen just finished...
This one volume contains the first three Phryne Fisher mysteries: Cocaine Blues; Flying Too High; and Murder on the Ballarat Train. I had never seen the PBS series based on these books, so I had no idea what a treat I was in for. Set in Australia between the World Wars, these cunning plots star my new favorite lady detective: an unflappable, unconventional, uninhibited and a little bit naughty heroine. The always stylish Honourable Phryne Fisher, leaves the tedium of English high society for Melbourne, Australia, and never looks back - and there are 20 books in the whole series for lots of future fun.
