Right Turn Only When Exiting the Kent Island Branch During Early Voting!
The Kent Island Branch meeting room has been designated as one of two Early Voting sites for Queen Anne's County. The second site is the Kramer Center in Centreville.
 
Early voting is scheduled for Thursday, June 12th through Thursday, June 19th from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day.
 
During the early voting period, exiting from the library parking lot will be right turn only. The right turn only sign is temporary and will be removed after early voting.

Chesapeake College has a fast growing English as a Second Language (ESL) program. Whether you are looking to improve your ability to communicate in English in day -to-day life, upgrade workplace communication, learn to read and write in English, gain an understanding of American culture, prepare for the citizenship test, or sharpen your skills for university, Chesapeake College has classes for you!

Creative Fiction Writers with Peggy Jaegly

Creative Fiction Writers is an independent and non-competing group for both beginner and advance writers who are serious about learning and improving their craft of creative writing.

Members will learn how to provide and receive helpful critiques and explore various avenues to publish and market their work. Meetings may open with a discussion focusing on one aspect of writing, publishing or marketing to be followed by a voluntary critique session. Writers choosing to participate in the critique session may read no more than 10 pages of double-spaced in 12 point font (manuscript format) of their current writing project to receive a critique from those attending. Writers offering critique must first read and agree to the critique rules.
